Thanks for the feedback and the obvious enthusiasm for the product! It is true we didn't get a chance to mention the better ability of OPEN to render detail, so its great that you brought it up. Thanks!

I have used Open acrylics, and they are fantastic. The working time, especially in thick layers or when you spray them with a mist of alchohol and water, does actually extend to hours.
One property I have seen that they do not mention here: Open acrylics seem to stick better and have far less beading when applied thinned greatly with water. One can make thinner lines more easily with Open acrylics and draw details that much better.
We will definitely take the idea of a demo for landscape painters in mind, so thanks for the idea. As for your other question, it is perfectly ok to mix the different paints to adapt them to your needs. Many people will use the regular acrylics for their underpainting, turning to the OPEN only when extended blending is needed. We also cover layering techniques in our Tech Sheet on OPEN that you can find on our website under Technical Info. Will email you a link as well. Thanks!
Hi - They are available while supplies last if you purchase 6 tubes of OPEN Acrylics. In terms of getting one, you should contact whatever local art supply store carries our brand as most retailers should be running this promotion.
I am trying out your Open series in Plein Air painting. I find I still end up going back to or mixing in regular heavy Golden's. I can't seem to layer as well. Any chance on some demos of plein air painters using the series?
