@RyanRNewberg If your dads 05 is like mine, I think it helps that it is governed at 4k rpm when its in neutral. You can't redline it then drop it into drive. Still isn't good for it, don't get me wrong.

@raidersfan8 they do? I'm running on the original tranny and I have almost 200k. A buddy of mine finally replaced his tranny at 340k for the first time. Take care of them and they last. Do what he's doing in the video then maybe it will make it to 80k, LOL

if you do a simple brake launch at 1500-1800 rpm with the e-brake on, you can break the tires loose without raping your transmission
-
How Dumb can you be?
-
keep doin that, you wont just need new tires, new transmission will be in need. they may last forever, but roughin on them like that, not a good idea. happened to me.
-
You should only do this with car rentals mate
-
Yeah, No transmission should ever be Neutral Dropped like that.
-
What all have you done to that taurus? SCT tuner? What model?
-
blow it up!!!!!!!!
-
yeah, not to mention these things are known to have tranny problems with over 80k
