The US Healthcare system is the most expensive in the world. Yet fewer
Americans can afford it, more are sick, people are getting poorer and
health insurance companies are getting richer. Health Ranger Mike
Adams talks to RT's Lauren Lyster about the controversy.

  • @tc413141 Sometimes it isn't a choice. Do you realize that with half of your healthcare spendings, you could give everybody healthcare in a European system. Could it become even cheaper? I know you've been told differently, but your healthcare system doesn't necessarily provide more quality since all what counts is profit and only unhealthy people can become customer.

  • i hate rt retarded news but this story is sooo true i live in usa

  • fuk usa hc if im sick ill go to south korea singapore or jpan those country rank higer in hc dr here will rob u 4 exmple a dr charge 500$ for a ct scan then force u to visit his office tell u the result makeu pay to tellthe result 200$ that tip of the iceberg dr dont give a damn alltheycare is making money

  • If in using a UHC you find your own contribution to paying for it falls (and unless you are very rich it almost certainly would) then would you not say if you are getting 100% medical cover 100%of the time for you and your family without fear of going bankrupt that a UHC system is better value than paying high premiums to a private insurance company that gives you cost limited insurance?

  • @tc413141The fact that people make poor choices should be no bar them from medical help. Does a smoker die in agony with lung cancer just because he made a poor choice? The answer is simple raise revenue on things that cause them to get sick smokes, alcohol even sugar and fats to deter their use by cost and use the money raised to help pay for the cost of running the UHC. The fact is the US system costs at least 50% more to run than those Nations with UHC but is rated 37th in healthcare.

  • @davijeph the thing is, most people that say they cant afford it, still manage to pay their cable bill and their internet bill. they still buy their xbox and ps3 games. if people were more responsible and saved their money, or made better choices, they could afford it. there are a few that just cant do it, but most can't because of decisions they have made. i should not have to pay because you made a poor decision. i shouldnt be forced to help cuz somebody else made poor choices.

  • @tc413141 If the "system" allows people running the "system" to be greedy and get away with it then there is something wrong with system. The U.S system would still not work well even if yo could curtail "greedy people".The US system depends on ability to pay not the idea that healthcare is a right for ALL citizens. In the US healthcare is for most people not a right but a privilege to be accessed only if you can pay. Answer bring in UHC and curb the power of your insurance companies
