  • Thanks for the comments. I have not been to the video for a couple years. This is a public cabin for anyone to use. It is not meant to of be a home but a place for people to spend the night after hiking or back country sking in. It was built for the most part by an all volunteer crew. See deermountainpart1 to get more of the story. With the Helicopter cost, the cost of this cabin is something I won't list here.

  • love the music!

  • Someone got the dimension and the heigh?

  • Looks like this A-Frame is in AK; here in CO there's some that need rebuilding and when I saw they need $300K per I was SHOCKED. I figured something like this would be more like $30K

  • when did nugent sound like enya??

  • Please show more! Are people are using it?

Where's the outhouse, can't see it in the video?

    Are those 4 x12 strusses and 2 x 6 under roofing?

And the cost for this mountain fort?

  • @juxtn

I can help answer that.. kinda.. A frames are cheaper and simpler to build. Having the roof double as insulated walls makes it easy to throw together.

  • hey i was wondering why did you prefer an a-frame home compared to a small house with a pitched roof/ small loft ?
