Faculty and students from the Johns Hopkins Institute for NanoBioTechnology (INBT) describe metastasis--or the spread of cancer--and how they are developing an artificial blood vessel to study cancer cell invasion and spread. This artificial blood vessel model could also be used to learn how drugs diffuse into the body. Features are Peter Searson, director of INBT and professor of materials science and engineering, and Andrew Wong, doctoral student. Visit http://inbt.jhu.edu for more information.
