  • i love antiphonal brass!!!!!!

  • I have watched this clip several times and I loved this performance so much. I still like it, but in several sections it's not in sync. Also some notes that need to stand out are too week and therefore sounds somewhat disassembled. That being said, they did a good job considering how much time they had to rehearse.

  • You hit the spot. Thank you for sharing this antiphonal masterwork!!!!! I wonder what Monteverdi might have thought of this???

  • @Bamchucknorris I agree with you. I actually like it at this tempo, but the execution was sloppy, so a slower tempo would have been much better. I always defer to the Philadelphia/Chicago/Cleveland recording for a definitive performance of this.

  • Way too fast and not together. Would have been much better at a slower tempo.

  • @toofoo72 while I read your comment, I was at about 2:00 into the vid and was provided with an example of your point instantly.

  • It was great. I just think the second parts should of came in stronger at 1: 06, but i could be wrong. When I played it at college we made a bigger entrance at the spot. However, it had a lot of really nice energy, and flow.

  • this is not a good performance of this piece at all. many sections are out of sync, cracked noted all over the place, imprecise rhythems. overall, terrible.

  • @toofoo72 Yes, some sections are notably out of sync.

  • I forgot all about the YT Orchestra!!! Wow! My favorite composer!!!!
