Taihape-Mokai Patea Rugby League Teams Haka HIKO HIKO

Ma(Kim) shot this vid on our digital camera Saturday 16 May at our home ground The old Taihape College.This haka was performed because it was the top of the table clash between Mokai Patea & Marton Bears & the first time in our brand new jerseys. Any Whanau out dear from Taihape who dont know, we have a League Team at home now & we carry the name that represents our Whanau/Marae & Whenua as a collective Which is Mokai Patea.5 games into our first season & we are leading the competition. The club has our dress tops for sale at the Brother Opae shop Ake Aotearoa in town if any whanau are interested. This video is in 2 parts as Ma pushed the pause button while filming. The Kaiarahi(Leader) of this Haka is Hohua Steedman-Clark, Aunty Betty & Uncle Terry Steedmans youngest Son.The Haka is called Hiko Hiko which was composed by Manaki Tibble for the college 1st xv when he was the Maori Kaiako at Taihape College in the mid 90s.
