"If there is a hill which is always dark and silent at night, it will be occupied by the British and you should always choose to attack somewhere else."
Extract from a Chinese Communist battle instruction captured during the Korean War and read out in the House of Commons. *The Americans, who provided about 80% of the troops in Korea were not amused.

Redcoats in the rain, very British.

@robi2000 Agreed.

@chikubichan Well.. they didn't exactly do a lot. They fielded 7 pilots, 2 were shot down and the rest didn't make a single kill. Tom Cruise wanted to do a film about them... infamy.

@cgill3254 I do wish we in GB would give up trying to be a world power - I would just like us to sink into the background and get on with life!

@cgill3254 *Thumbs up*

loool when the officer shouted at the man to get lost.....idiot
Just for those who love to comment on these kind of clips, arguing about 'my country is stronger than your country'...the band of the Life Guards (a household cavalry regiment, hence no bearskin hats) is playing 'Eagle Squadron', which was written as a tribute to the US aviators who, despite their own country's neutrality for the first 2 yrs of WW2, joined the RAF and fought with us for the preservation of freedom against the Nazis. We honour them here, even if they're 'overlooked' in the US.

What people seem to forget is that British used to be the original imperialists and that we used to think we could police the world. Now America is doing it.
