A combination of Christina Rossetti's poem "Echo" and Frederic Chopin's Nocturne featuring in an animated video created by me...

Come to me in the silence of the night;
Come in the speaking silence of a dream;
Come with soft rounded cheeks and eyes as bright
As sunlight on a stream;
Come back in tears,
O memory, hope and love of finished years.

O dream how sweet, too sweet, too bitter-sweet,
Whose wakening should have been in Paradise,
Where souls brim-full of love abide and meet;
Where thirsting longing eyes
Watch the slow door

That opening, letting in, lets out no more.

Yet come to me in dreams, that I may live
My very life again though cold in death;
Come back to me in dreams, that I may give
Pulse for pulse, breath for breath:
Speak low, lean low,
As long ago, my love, how long ago.

  • Thank you everyone it was a learning experience to "try" out a new media while creating the video with Delphine's lovely voice!!

  • Busy as I was these days, absolutely made me neglect to thank you all I actually thought no one would even look at this particular video here... I had a lot of fun creating it, since I'm still trying to explore how render a good animated video...

    Thank you so much for sharing this. My mom used to play Chopin all the time while I was growing up. This piece brings me back in time to those memories. The poetry set to this makes this presentation sublime! Thank you KK, and thank you for posting. Love, min xo
