I love the city. I love that signature california wilderness. I like the song. I hate how, in order to be an indie musician, he has to never smile and always look like he's from the late 60's. Indie kids are just like every other scene. Conformists trying to find other conformists.

Oh get over it people. If they want to be part of a "scene," they will. Almost EVERYBODY fits into one... why is that a BAD thing? He doesn't smile in the movie, she does. Who cares. It's part of the dichotomy in the movie, and you can see it in their body language too. Pay attention and stop turning EVERYTHING into stupid childish sociological contest.
