We all know about dave's is losing his voice, but we should reflect, he's being touring about 30 years, drugs abuse, performance over performance, and the most important the time, we all get old, but for me Megadeth (dave), will always be one of the greatest bands form all the times... I (My opinion) think the lineup now is a sufficient replacement to the RIP one. Megadeth is the ultimate band, Mustaine is Chuck Norris's father, etc \m/

This was before surgery, you have to know that he has a problem with his neck because of headbanguing (not kidding), so he only could singing by whispering because otherwise would cause pain.

I have seen both bands, and unfortunately I saw Metallica on Kirk's birthday '08 when James had bronchitis and spoke most of the words. I admire James' and Dave's pushing through to the end when their voices don't provide as they should. But when he's in a bind, Dave's voice goes up a few octaves and most of the time he doesn't finish words. And while Metallica is in my top 3 bands, I find Dave's approach much better than adding AHH! at the end-AHH! of every line-AHH!
