Sonic Gems Collection would had been so much better if it had an option that would allow you to choose between the two different versions of the Sonic CD Soundtrack.

@Psxphile It's worth mentioning that, while "Sonic Boom" is the song that got released in Super Smash Bros Brawl, this "You can do Anything" song can still be found deep within the game disc along with other unused tracks. For some reason they were left in the final game :S
Anyway this brings back memories :D

I can't make out 80% of this.
I have Gems Collection, but it doens't have this cool song, is it because mine it's an american game?

Not exactly. Japan's Gems Collection doesn't have it either.
Only Sonic CDs that had the song were JPN Mega CD version and EURO Mega CD version. You can also hear it in Sonic Jam's Theater Mode, all Sega Saturn regions.
For some reason, even Sega of Japan doesn't use it anymore. They probably lost the rights to the soundtrack long ago, and have been using the US soundtrack ever since (probably cheaper to license).

I have bought the jap gems collection for the game cube only to listen to the Japan BSO and yes it has this song and all the soundtrack of the sonic cd jap and euro version ;) .

That pretty much runs counter to just about every other hands-on impression I've seen.
On that note, I've checked the wiki page for SGC and it appears to have been confirmed that, at the very least, the PS2 version contained both soundtracks for Sonic CD, but would only load the Japanese soundtrack if booted on a Japanese region PS2.

GOD DAMMIT YOU FUCKING RETARDS SONIC CD'S OPENING AND ENDING WERE PUT IN SONIC MEGA COLLECTION THE GAME WAS NOT SONIC MEGA COLLECTION 2(gems collection) HAD SONIC CD BUT IT DIDNT JUST HAVE SONIC BOOM IF YOU BUY THE GAME FOR PS2(JP&UK ver.) IT HAS THE EUROPEAN SOUNDTRACK THIRD AND FINAL HE RIPPED THE OPENING FROM HIS GAMECUBE AND MUTED IT THEN HE PUT THE MP3 FOR THE JAPANESE OPENING NOW SHUT UP AND STOP BEING RETARDED!!

Dude. Chill.
Actually, I was under the impression that the Euro and Japan versions of SMC used the 'Sonic Boom' OP and ED, too. It's been that way since the PC version of Sonic CD was released years ago: Sonic Boom for all regions. Apparently SEGA in general either doesn't care for the original soundtrack (not likely)... or they no longer have the rights to use them.
