The American National Standards Institute, in conjunction with the European Standards Organizations (ESOs), organized a conference to foster a networking and dialogue on the use of standards and compliance programs in such critical areas as e-mobility/electric vehicles, energy, and security.
Karel De Gucht, Commissioner for Trade from the European Commission, offered his thoughts on e-mobility as a Transatlantic Economic Council (TEC) priority, and on the political importance of transatlantic cooperation on standards and conformance for electric vehicles.
