i run this sub . 1 10 ina sealed 1.40cft box powered by alpine pdx 600. sounds good. ported will give it a lil more knock but it sounds tight in the sealed. cant expect much more bass from a single 10

I have two of this subs but in 12 inch with a jbl amp. They hit harder then mojos and JL's

@Learn4rmLifesLessons The problem is this, the SW8010 is a SVC 4 ohm subwoofer, so if you only have one sub you can only run it at a final impedance of 4 ohms. The amplifier will only do 350W RMS at 4 ohms, this means you would be under powering the subwoofer by more than the recommended amount. Your only option would be to get the SVC 2 ohm version of the subwoofer and then run it at 2 ohms final impedance on your amplifier.

@SonicElectronixTV The Eclipse subs are rubbish, Mine is less than 6mths old and is stuffed was running off a small jvc digital amp.Costed $400 from autobahn .now back in place is a 5year old $60 kenwood sub i got from wow and it still pumps? I think the large mass of useless metal creates too much heat so add half a foot to any sub box size perhaps.
the also recommened for a sealed box the inner dimasions should be 1.25-1.75 is that without the sub in the box? because if it is the actual cubnic feet would be like around .5-.75 right?

@inktoxicated The dimensions should be 1.25-1.75 without the loaded subwoofer. You would lose a significant amount of air space after loading the subwoofer, but this is already taken into account with the subwoofers recommended enclosure specifications.

ok well would you recommend these subs like do they beat and sound awesome ive never had a chance to hear them i cant find a vid on them either....i just wanna know if they will sound better then 12" cvr kickers

@jerronamo22520 12" Kicker CVR's certainly do have a lot of bass output. These subs will require a little extra power to get going and will have slightly higher capabilities as far as power handling. Personally, I'd recommend the TS8512 if you're ready to upgrade from some CVR's to some really hard hitting bass.

question....im getting two of these how many watts each are they its just says 700 rms but whats max?
jerronamo22520 1 year ago
@jerronamo22520 The manufacturer did not specify the Peak Power Handling. Personally, I don't look at the Peak Power when checking out subs. I always rate subs based off of the RMS power, Peak is usually a fictional term, it will never handle the true peak. 24tharcher hit the nail on the head. RMS power is what your woofer will see all day.
