Im gonna try it out but hope it doesn't affect much performace, it's kinda funny how that works, my PC runs the witcher 2 and battlefield 3 at ultra max, but it lags out when I blow a bunch of TNT lol

@volx1337 Yeah, I guess so. I'm all for artistic effects in video games, but not when they make my eyeballs bleed. xD

@volx1337 My experience with these types of mods is the reeds ruin it completely

Why does the colour leak from everything? That's the one thing I HATE about modern "good" graphics - bloom. In real life do the colours appear to leak from everywhere you look? Are you blinded by just looking at the floor or a wall? No.

@Abengoshis I think it's really a matter of taste. Bloom can be perceived as realistic or annoying. I like it because it looks closer to video footage recorded in the real world. Matching the way the human eye perceives its surroundings is nearly impossible.

@volx1337 I've never seen an unedited photo have bloom. All I know is that bloom is not a step forward to what humans see their surroundings like. :S

@Abengoshis Photos have a higher dynamic range than video most of the time. Therefore photo = less bloom than video. If you film your windows in an unlit room you /will/ see bloom if it's sunny outside. And because the typical video look also includes small amounts of bloom, it's often added to video game footage.

@volx1337 Well of course if you're in a dark room looking out into light, but in the daylight looking at other objects in the daylight a camera, or at least all videos from cameras I've seen, don't have the bloom effect. Amirite?

@Abengoshis Maybe one could say that it's an effect that is inspired by, but not always present in reality?
