Powerful stuff... and a rather remarkable tribute to Davis that the posthumous standing ovation that he got was so lengthy that it had to be fast-forwarded through.
Lewis' comments after were both sincere, and unashamedly utilitarian.
Davis would have been proud.

I MET SAMMY ONCE IN THE MID 70'S IN FLA. I AM ONE WHO NEVER GETS STAR STRUCK BUT HIS PRESENCE IN THE ROOM WAS OVERWHELMING! I HAVE NEVER HAD AN EXPERIENCE LIKE THAT BEFORE & SERIOUSLY DOUBT EVER AGAIN! HE WAS JUST VISITING BUT HIS IMPACT O JUST BEING THERE WAS INDESCRIBABLE!!! THIS WAS A DEFINING MOMENT THAT MADE ME SAY " iIAM GLAD I WAS ALIVE DURING THESE TIMES TO EXPERIENCE THIS MOMENT.

The world is missing a lot of good men. MDA will be missing one in 4 days. and for no reason.. God love Jerry and all the great men in this world who cared for other then themself, don't have that any more today.
