How to Jailbreak iPhone 2G/3G & iPod Touch 1G 2.2.1 Firmware

WARNING:
This video is on how to 'Jailbreak' your iphone 3G, 2G and iPod Touch 1G for the 2.2.1 Firmware, however this video will also work for 2.2 Firmware.

If you have 2.2 firmware DO NOT upgrade to the 2.2.1 firmware, this will break the application "yellowsn0w" that allows you to unlock 2.2.

For now, there is no other method to unlock 2.2.1 than turbo/rebel card sim card, why i would heavily reccomend keeping the 2.2 firmware.

i dunno why, but right after confirming that my iPod 1G is connected via USB for the second time, so at 1:46 in this video, i never get to hear the sound of a usb device pluggin in and out.

does someone know why? or what i'm doin wrong?

you said something about an app to change your boot logo. What is the name of that application? and where can I find it?

After successfully jailbreaking your device, go to Cydia and click search, then look for an app called "LogoMe" Thats it

I got a. Ipod 1G and quickpwn but when i open quickpwn it works until i get to the part were you choose the firmeware it wont work it says string error can you plz help me

This has been coming up alot, i honestly have no idea what it means, so my best advice would be to check quickpwn(.)com/forums they are the original creators and they're forums are quite good.
