  • Dear kingscrusher,

I was hoping that you could answer a question for me. I've been analysing this game, and I was wondering whether instead of 26.Nxc6, White would win by 26.Nxe6 with tempo on White's Queen, followed by 27.Ng7+. It looks decisive to me, but I'm worried I've missed something.

If any other subscribers have answers, I would be happy to hear them. 30...Qe7 still rules, and 27...Na3+ to open the b-file for a check, so as to clear the c-file for the Rook was pretty damn clever too.

  • Shirov should have played for the Championship. He deserved it. Great game. Thanks.

  • Amazing calculation. thank you for the video, I'm making my way through the pages
