08 Cobalt SS vs 2011 SRT-8 Challenger

This was my first time to the drag strip in my cobalt, as I mostly do AutoX. Needless to say I was having severe traction issues off the line with the 18inch wheels but I still turned a decent time imo. The SRT-8 was brand new and its owner was a super nice guy. He said he just dropped 53 large for it. I got a ride in it later and it was impressive, considering its weight.

Good race, but those 392s aren't to be messed with, they will run and have ran anywhere from 12.0- 12.4 bone stock(mostly autos), several videos are on youtube check em out.

@dancindan85 They don't run mid 12's at Infineon. Maybe you are thinking the 1/8 mile.

@dancindan85 umm no i have the srt8 and its the 6.1 and rt dont come with stripes like that.

@dancindan85 The 6.4 is a 2012 model... The magazines have not gone faster than 12.9 @ 110 mph... A stock 6.1 SRT8 from pre 2011 with 425 hp runs 13.4 @ 107 mph... A stock 08+ turbo balt , well driven runs 13.6 @ 104 mph... A simple re-tune >>( $200) for the balt and it becomes a 12.9 @ 111 mph car...

well even if it was a 6.4 car it the guy cant drive it because those car run mid 12s from the factory... and if you don't want people posting on your videos don't post them...

Stop being a Douche then, I bet if I looked up your other posts, they would have the same theme. It was a 6.4 and the guy knew how to drive, and he ran consistent 8.5s all night long on "Street Tires"! again, go troll else where

that wasn't a 6.4 challenger lol that was just a 5.7 car.

I rode and saw under the hood, and it was a 6.4.... these cars are "HEAVY" - go troll somewhere else.

I'm to lazy and my Internet is too slow to watch again to see who won. Lol. Was that an 1/8th mile? What were the total times?

@duttchuven Yes 1/8th - times: SRT-8 = 8.51 at 89.10mph --- SS = 9.04 at 86.89mph
