This was rapier day at the Falmouth High School Fight Week. These are HS Freshmen sent to MASC for training in general staged combat. They were not training for any particular show. Please keep in mind, this was rapier DAY... that's right... 5 hours to be precise. While admittedly the form and precision of a performance ready fight is certainly not there... The point (pardon the pun) of posting this is to show 13 and 14 year olds who've been handling steel swords for a matter of hours and yet... no cuts... no bruises, not eyes put out.... they learned their safety protocol well. Sure the fights could use some improvement. No one can put together a performance ready fight in a few hours... but look how safe they are! www.Fight-Director.org

  • *Gasp* Is that Sophie?

  • It great that in this day and age of "no pocket knives" in school, you're proving that Highschool kids can be responsible and safe if they are expected to be.
