Civic Duty or Civic Privilege

If you don't tell your elected officials what you expect of them, they will think they can get by with anything because NO ONE IS PAYING ATTENTION! If they won't listen to you, vote them out or recall them. In America we have that privilege, and it's our duty to make sure the PUBLIC SERVANTS are representing our best interests, and listening to our ideas. If you don't speak up or vote, you don't have the right to complain when things aren't being done the way you'd like!
