Premiered for the opening of the 2011 International Cannes Dance Festival, "Butterfly Soul" is a solo with a video work choreographed by Eric Oberdorff for the dancer Cécile Robin Prévallée. It explores and relates the emotional states experienced by an artist when creating. The mind works then like a butterfly and flies, disorderd and in random from one idea to another, between hesitation and dazzlind speed, trying to resist to the wind and the doubt. Whatever its detours, the butterfly is moving towards a mysterious destination, only it knows.
