  • It is amazing that she finds (or creates) room to be full of emotional in this technically chanllenging piece.

  • Actually, it's impossible to enjoy a variety of Chung's tone color throught the youtube. Highly recommended to listen to this rendition withCD.

    Sir George Solti after his Recording of Bartok's 2nd Concerto with her , Gave the Following Comment " Wha Chung is the only Violinst ever who can translate with the conductor and Co - ordinate with him without being even worried to be out of tempo or to do a false note . I listened to her Playing this Concerto in England.

    Lastly It was Wha Chung who made the 1st ever Decca Digital recording under the Great Russian conductor ( Kirill Kondrashin) with V.P.O in 1979 (Beethoven Vln. Con)

    And I just wonder why you are so angry from those Filthy Guys!! Wha Chung Astonished all the World with her so Perfect, Wonderful playing!!. This recording in particular (Coupled with Tchaikovsky), let Priven (the conductor here) says that "I'll never record Sibelius again with any other Violinist!!. From now then after this recording Wha Chung was the !st ever Korean Violinist to Electrify the Western World to be so jealous of her. It was the Great Conductor George Solti after

  • fantastic VC the sibelius is full of emtion and passion and to my understanding is difficult, however to somone of ms chungs ability it is clearly not technically challenging. what is more relevant is does sghe convey something else to the listener (somewhat of what the composer intended and something of herself) TO ME THE ANSWER IS YES.

  • I think she does a wonderful job of letting the composer do the talking - so to speak.

  • ONE of the few difficult violin concertos.
