  • The drummers look very sharp. Their timing is excellent. It looks like the band is short on numbers but altogether a good performance.

  • @joelfracis True, but it's just the idea that brass horns were originally made for bugle calls, and especially for military/parade marches, I like the victorious sound of trumpets, deep voice of baritones, and the triumphant trombone.

  • @gtradn its the directors taste really. But most great mil bands have trumpets blend in, they'll naturally be more noticeable since thats the nature of the horn. But they shouldn't be to bright or else the listeners ears is drawn away from the music as a whole

  • @joelfracis In my opinion, I think all marching bands should have louder cornets/trumpets, it suits my taste a lot better.

  • Hi guys, bear in mind all the guys playing in the band are amateurs, they all have their own trades in the Royal Navy and do this as a part time hobby in their own time, not as good as Culdrose Volunteer Band in my day but a creditable job nontheless!

  • Please listen too this! This sound in a wind band I like - you don´t miss the strings!

The Swedish national wind band plays "Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral" The Swedish national wind band plays "Mälardrottningen"

The Swedish national wind band plays "Admiral Stosch"

    Conductor: Nils-Gunnar Burlin

  • the piccolo sounds YUCKY. coming from a picc player. flat :p

  • yes, however for the style of band he/she is playing in they are using a far to bright mouthpiece.

  • No accounting for the quality of the recording but, 15 MUSICIANS !!! very nice job !!

  • lead cornet is not to blend- he s replicating regimental bugle calls
