@GrievanDark how about the morality that the bible teaches? You can call them religious values if you want but Jesus specifically warns about how this will happen in the last days and how mens hearts will grow cold, mocking, self idolators. What do you see on tv? And all under the guise of either violence or comedy.
-
The public is being desensitized to Common Sense, not religious values. :)

@DaOrigTruthSeeker yea this world contradicts its self....

The sound is fukked.

If anyone would just apply a little common sense they would be able to see that....just as we must feed our bodies healthy foods inoder to stay healthy. We must do the same for our minds. Why do people want to take in violence and then ask the stupid questions why our society is so violent? Another example....notice how we warn against cancer and yet we sell the things that cause the disease? Mike Vick goes to jail for fighting dogs and yet we pay to watch people cage fighting on tv. It's sick!

@MundyArtStudio there was a study done 10 boys watched violent games and 10 watched non violent games, in this study after an hour the boys from each section were interviewed, cleverly the man interviewing them knocked some pencils on the floor, none of the boys watching violence helped pick them up, yet almost all of the boys that did not watch violence did lean down and help pick up the pencils now that is interesting at least it shows the mindset changes.

This argument has been going on for a long time now and its never been proven that viewing violent images actually makes someone more violent.
Why don't we have millions of teenagers killing their families and each other?
It's entertainment for most and censorship is never a good idea.
Usually if someone wants to be violent towards someone else it's because of a real world experience that has happened to them not viewing a violent movie or game.
-
When a society is completely saturated by this type of violent, horrific 'entertainment,' only crime and violence will result. It's only logical. Television and films enshrine the worst type of behaviors, actions, peoples, making them admirable, cool.
Serial killers get more attention, more stories, more films made about them than the victims they slaughtered. If you want a society full of crime, of violence, and the most wretched creatures, you place those types on television, the rest follows

So what about Michael Medved's point... if TV images don't influence real world behavior, then WHY do major corporations spend billions annually on advertising? WHY?? Everyone cannot be held accountable for their actions - conditions like insanity and losing touch with reality DO EXIST. In the continuum of self control, most people are safe bets, but with over 300M people in the US, there are bound to be PLENTY on the fringe. It is these who make the news.

This is turning out a bunch of braindead mind numbed immoral kids who r ready to commit acts of violence and have no sense of right or wrong.
Wake up and dont allow your kids to watch this filth
