  • lots of pasta is definitely a no no. I've been on it and my health went down hill. Acidosis!! Alkaline forming carbs are fine though.

  • @raidenshian Its more what people put on their starches. Oil, salt, animal stuff etc. Fruit is tops for sure.

  • Good theory Harley. So just to clarify.. I'm a pumped up, excited living life 811er and i see my dog hit by a car and he dies slowly. is my sufficient carb intake gonna stop me from feeling anything? or if i do feel like crap is a dominos deep pan cheese pizza gonna help me numb myself?

i reckon your freaken close.. But I dunno if enough carbs is gonna make me incapable of greif..

  • @StevieBaskin Great question Steve. There is a BIG difference between feeling greif and DWELLING on it. Does that make sense? BIG difference between having a negative thought and DWELLING on negativity. Its normal to feel things but when we dwell on them and they become a hinderance then we know we need more sleep, sugar and or water.

  • This was a good video..explains why I gained my weight back after fasting for 21 days with only water. :( whaaa. I was not much hungrier than before my fast, but my body sure did hold onto everything I ate. I was actually less hungry after my fast. I eat less now and my body is more efficient and I can tell you that does suck.

  • @vicky2c Fasting is VERY hard on the body. Its like running ultras on 5 bananas per 100miles. I mean yeah, if your really sick and your body doesnt want to eat fair enough but I just cant see why people that dont have severe health issues should be fasting. Even then I would advise they live and eat proper before fasting even becomes a thought. Its like why focus on door handles when we havent even poured the cement for our health and fitness foundation. But thats the society we live in:(

  • @IronCladBen Great question! But hoow come the fatty foods they mention are also sweet fatty foods? ;) Who just eats coconut oil by the spoonful or drinks olive oil to numb their emotions? NOBODY!

    Donuts

    Ice cream

    Candy

    Choc cake

    marzipan

    pizza

creamy pasta etc. All foods that are 'comfort foods' and get most of their calories from fat BUT if you took out the carb element, they wouldnt be 'comfort foods' no more.

I dont expect everyone to just buy what I say, but I want them to re-evaluate.

  • @wordey123 watch some of my videos when you are carbed up so you can pay attention bro. ;)

  • Man, I can't tell you how many letters and emails I get from "psychiatrists" and "weight management counselors" warning me that drugs and professional treatments are needed for people with "food issues"... lol! I've proved them wrong (not hard to do when you just feed people healthfully) for so long that it is not even funny anymore (but my lip twitches into a smile anyway lol)

  • Harley's absolutely right. I've monitored this with so many people, family, friends, and myself for decades. Blaming everything on "stress" and "emotions" is grasping at straws in 99% of cases. FUNDAMENTALS of "putting enough fuel in the tank to support their lifestyle" is the clear and easy solution (one would hope).

  • thank you sooo much for this video!!! Its so great! I hope you are right! Somehow I believe you so much...and I am happy! You killed that monster named emotional eating waiting in the dark to get me... :D

hope so much it won't be there anymore next time life serves me some challenges

  • DurianRider, thank you SO much for this video...I think i finally "GOT IT"...something that I think is a limiting belief and one which I am trying to break is the idea of Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner. Like today, I had my first meal around noon, then next around 6pm...then WANTED to not eat but decided to have a bunch of mangoes..I felt kind of bad at first, then watched this and realized that it is BS and if I am hungry, i am hungry for a REASON, and SHOULD EAT and NO GUILT especially if it is FRUIT

  • Excellent!!! Loved the video - totally true...every diet has an equal and inverse binge! Women are starving themselves...just as we starve ourselves in many other ways. Hey Harley, what does your mother say when she hears you using that language?! Great message and perhaps clean it up a wee bit as you have so many other issues! Smile -

  • is it just me or is this guy super cute =P

  • I totally believe this!

  • Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making this video.

  • Wow! I'm in the middle of doing a 30 day raw food challenge and day 13 hit me really hard (see my Raw for 30 - Day 13 video). I blame emotional detox on making me want to go back to food I haven't touched in 5 years, but I see now that it's because I'm not eating enough / getting enough carbs from fruit! THANKS for the info!

  • @durianriders what is problem with spaghetti, tomatoes and cheese? :) Can we ask Lance Armstrong?
