  • sir can u please tell the 2nd bol of teen taal u played at the intro ?

    thank u

  • @vighneshnair28121994 If you mean the second theka, the first four beats are Dha Ge Ge Na Ti Ge Dha Na, and that pattern repeats for the next two sections. Fourth section (last four beats) is just a simple pattern - Ta Ge Dha Na Dha Ge Dha Na. I suggest some good books available by Jerry Leake and Aloke Dutta, at least in North America.

  • I play better than you and I'm 15. But atleast you know what your playing and how to teach it.

  • @VKSmovies I have no doubt you play better than me - youth does have its advantages! Thanks for the comment.

  • thanks Raj, but isn't there a S missing in the secound phrase ?

  • @fmsad No, there is only a short 1/8 note pause just before the 11th beat. The 9th and 10th beats have seven 1/8 notes played together as TiReKeTeTaKaTaS.

Beats 12 to 16 have two "quarter notes" each (e.g., DhaTit is really played DhaSTitS).

  • @WorldMusicGuru ok got it :) thank you sir for explaining the 2nd theka :)

    teen taal rocks !

  • Can you play classical Kaharwa because before learning Teen Taal one must know how to play Kaharwa exquisitely. Why Kaharwa should be at 1st place ? Because its notes (DhaGe NaTi NaGe DhinNa) serve as adhesives for all tabla phrases.Much more secret is hidden in Kaharwa.......not all know it.

  • dont waste u-tube space bud!!!!

  • teri phat rahi hai,,awaz

  • Dear Raviji.

Excellent series of videos and I like your precise teaching methods. Please continue doing this and add additional material as and when you can. God Bless you.
