The Village Porch Cafe is located at 25 North Wall Street Cartersville, a city northwest of Atlanta, in the rolling hills of north Georgia. Established in 1850, the city offers a great deal of history, such as the Etowah Indian Mounds from 1000 A.D., but also provides an abundance of culture and recreation today, including the Booth Western Art Museum, Tellus Science Museum and the Pine Mountain trail.

The sellers, Mike and Dorothy Philips originally purchased the business in 2004 from the same brokerage firm. Eric Gagnon stated, "It is not uncommon for the firm to see repeat business from customers who have purchased in the past when they are ready to sell their business."
