Here's a machine my wife Lisa and I built last Sunday, a gift to friends whose wedding anniversary falls on Valentine's Day.

Originally we were going to build a version of the classic "Kissing Couple" automaton, but partway there, while playing with it before we added limits to the motion, we both burst out laughing at the random action, and decided to leave them out.

It looks much more like a real relationship this way.
