6:26 Completely serious this video actually did change my life. I was watching this almost 2 years ago while in the middle of a dead-end collegiate career in history when I decided to quit and pursue my love of technology and design into game development. Thanks Alton for the Good Eats and the inspiration to roll the big dice.

1) He tweaks dishes. I think it's interesting, and you don't have to follow it.
2) Not everyone knows what you know; I didn't know most of the stuff he explains.
3) What's wrong with smug? - I think it's actually just confidence.
4) He's a commentator; all commentators talk like that - sports commentators second guess coaches constantly, so is all that commentary 'cheap'?
My opinion is that he's modest, but confident. His show is campy, and perhaps not for everyone, but great fun for me
