**** Youtube for some reason or another would not allow a larger "quality" video to be uploaded at the time so this is the best it would allow for. We will post a link when we have a better version uploaded on our site. *****
: About the Tornado :
The Harvard Tornado was a member of a freak group of tornadoes that were born from a violent historic January thunderstorm. This storm was responsible for a touchdown in Boone Co destroying Edwards Apple Orchard, then one in Lawrence derailing a train, then flipping the semi and on into S. Wisconsin where it touched down again.

: About the Video :
The tornado "shown at the beginning of the video" is followed very closely by a heavy rain shaft which reduced its visibility, while forcing our camera to lose focus over foreground objects instead.

:Video Miscorrections:
Error in Production:
Date on video on top is 2007 but should be 2008.
Error in Geography:
Route 14 is mistaken as Highway 23 (which ends at Route 14 at the beginning of Harvard.

  • Dude, was that 23 or route 14? 14 goes through Harvard into Bigfoot, but 23 ends at 14 just southeast of the Walmart. Doesn't it? Great footage, by the way.

  • yep. its been stated plenty of times before it was 14 not 23... due to the excitement our members got confused on the roads..

  • Well I live in this area and lost to big hay barn, on january 6, it was cold like 15-20 degrees with 5-10 inches of snow. On the next day, the HUGE warm front came and warmed up to 70 degrees. melt all the snow away but not all of them and makes into EXTREME foggy causing to have a Great major storm. So after the on that day, the temp drop down to 20's degrees. Very STRANGE.

  • this was on my b-day!!:(!

  • Believe it or not, tornadoes have been known to spawn in January for quite a while. It's just the ones that do damage that make the news. They are rare in January, but it's not something that just started happening rececently. As a matter of fact, November is also known as a second but smaller peak period for tornadoes. The fall and winter months get some of the worse tornadoes to hit also. A tornado can spawn in any month of the year. Peak month is May followed by June in the USA.

  • Tornadoes in January? Man it's getting crazy
