Homemade Projector

This is an overhead projector (remember math class?) and a TFT LCD panel. Simple to make, and best of all, cheap. Total cost for this project including all cabling, LCD, fan, Overhead and the lap...

i don't know if this would work, but i'd like to see what would happen if you used a 750w ETC Source 4 as the back light. You'd probably have to use a glass panel to help diffuse the heat.

Store bought projectors range from 500-2000 hours of bulb life and cost $400-$1000 to replace.

These bulbs last 200-500 hours and cost $7.

400-1000$ for repair, not 7$
only old retro school projectors take the 7$ ones I think

The overhead projector I'm using takes two 400w bulbs (one as a hot-swap spare) and they run about $7 online.
