  • Great playing! ... this pedal sounds super sweet! Very marshally. I heard it goes from JTM45 all the way to JCM800! But i have a couple of questions regarding this pedal... does it use a 9v power adapter? Also, does it clean up nicely with the guitar's volume knob? ... and finally, lol, is it pick attack sensitive? ... i\m basically torn between this and the Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret mkii.

  • @flammingcarrot

Hey, thanks friend! Yes it does use a standard Boss style 9V adapter, or 9V battery. It cleans up nicely with the volume control. The pick attack you can hear in the video, BTW Musicians Friend has a very liberal return policy.

You should buy it from them and if you are not happy return it. Good Luck !

  • Hi there. I love the sound of this pedal but I'm interested in using it in front of a tube amp. A Custom 50 Hiwatt to be precise. I've noticed the most recent Character series pedals have an on/off switch for the speaker simulator. Are there any plans to include the same feature on the British pedal? Thanks!

  • @solisquistis

I can't exactly tell you when, but it is a possibility that that feature will be available.

  • i play grunge and rock and i have a fender amp and i like the distortion channel and the clean channel but some times switching between them is a pain for some reason i think theres something wrong with the back pannel either way its a great amp but for my styles which character pedal would be the best my favourite bands include : puddle of mudd alice in chains smile empty soul and nirvana all them use mesa/boogie amps as far as i know basicaly i just need it to be loud and chunk ,get back to me

  • @raquel1234ful

Did you chek the US Steel pedal?

  • really? interesting... i may just try that! Thanks!

  • Sounds like the good ol'Thin Lizzy sound!!!

  • @solisquistis Contact Tech 21 and ask them if they will put that feature in the pedal or if you can custom order a British pedal with it in there

  • i hate how in the adds for these things they have to be weird about saying what amp they simulate. just say that this one is based on a marshall and the others are based on their respective amp.

  • good example of a pedal that 'sounds' like a british amp but lacks the correct harmonics that so far not even the best modelers can figure out.

its a multidimensional 'problem' .. but maybe the point is to plug this thing into the front of a fender twin and then youve got some variance. That said can this thing get higher gain? Perhaps with a boost / overdrive in front of it (My original marshall govnr can... )
