This documentary is about the large hadron collider underneath the franco-swiss border near Geneva. If this enormous experiment is successful, a new age of scientific discovery could be on our doorstep.

  • ...feeling you get when you first get your head around Einstein's Relativity and time dilation, will be nothing compared to the feeling of awe we will get when we make the next big break-through and get a closer look into the phenomena we call existence. I'm glad there are some smart open-mined people out there doing the maths. it's a shame some smart people are wasted because their minds will never accept a universe where general relativity is incorrect.

  • 8.25," we truly misunderstood something"...perhaps something fundamental and something all other theories of physics since have needed to take into account. It will be fair more interesting when we see and accept both Newton and Einstein as wrong and we have to look at the universe at a different way. One were Neutrinos travel backwards in time or there really are other physical dimensions out there, or both. When we figure out what's really going on, that feeling you get...

  • ...their basic theories, the most common and fundamentally accepted current theories of the universe; what it's made of and the forces in it are so WRONG they only account for 3% of everything! The reason the numbers are so wrong is because of that one niggly fundamental force that cannot be detected or proven and does not fit neatly with any of the other models - Gravity. Gravity is the original force 'discovered' and the one the only one not proven in any way...we need to accept it as wrong.

  • WE HAVE THE BASICS WRONG, that's why scientists had to invent the notion of dark energy and dark matter and why the Higgs Boson particle probably does not exist. We need to re-exam the force we call gravity, once we get the FUNDAMENTAL forces figured out we will realise that there probably is no need to create such abstract and counter-intuitive theories to fill in gaps. When sientists say 97% of the universe is filled with dark energey and matter it means that there basic theories...

  • can someone explain why they are spending so much money trying to discover the Higgs Boson particle when they haven't discovered the Graviton yet? Gravity needs to be explained and proven first as the mystery of mass acquisition is directly related to gravity. Since CERN themselves have just basically proven e=mc2 incorrect by detecting faster then light neutrinos we seriously need to reaxam the THEORY of gravity and relativity. WE HAVE THE BASICS WRONG...

  • The Higgs Boson may exist. But, if found it will be divisible. All particles are. So then, what is the next question?

  • @TrooperLFC nah military is just the machine of war that uses science to its advantage. people dont need to go to war. our world is just so full of fucked politicians who want to rule everything

  • @JbMcQuade06 science is military and military is science. give yourself a break.

  • @TheBahram203 U know, here in Europe, people would stack their food around the ring to steel cooling and prolly even tap the wires to leech electricity...

  • @mulefa her eis the thing: it's a key-question for forming theories, insights and ultimatively products that will constitute something equal to the industrial revolution.
