Cessna 182 landing and takeoff on a jungle strip in Guatemala ca.. Trip was for medical clinic and to drop off rubber boots given by Manos de Amor.

Beautiful :) A friend from Guatemala but living in Maine, gave me the opportunity to fly in one of those planes. I loved every minute of it :) You really feel you're flying.

Cool stuff. I am training to be a pilot to work in the jungles of Bolivia. Same heat and humidity but elevation is between 500 and 800 feet. I am planning on going to Guatemala in December for a couple weeks. Hopefully I will have at least my instrument by then, but I am aiming for having my CPL. How would I go about visiting your mission station for a few days??
