Song for the Body (Indian bamboo flute and iron wine rack)

All percussion was played on an iron wine rack (holds six bottles), struck with rubber mallets and with the wooden handles of the mallets.

Flute is a 19-inch "C" bansuri (Sri Jeff Whittier) made from Hawaiian bamboo.

This song can be a meditation on healing, as well as on appreciation for the body and for health.

The music is a synthesis of influences from multiple cultural sources.

Thanks very much. It's in the key of G. It's also referred to as a "C" flute because the tonic (Indian Sa) of the bansuri is the note sounded when 3 finger holes are closed. All six holes closed sounds a G, and the flute is in the G major scale when no half-holes or partial-holes are used.
