All percussion was played on an iron wine rack (holds six bottles), struck with rubber mallets and with the wooden handles of the mallets.

Flute is a 19-inch "C" bansuri (Sri Jeff Whittier) made from Hawaiian bamboo.

This song can be a meditation on healing, as well as on appreciation for the body and for health.

The music is a synthesis of influences from multiple cultural sources.

Sorry for the single-frame (non)video. :)

  • excellent playing. What key is the bansuri?

  • Thanks very much. It's in the key of G. It's also referred to as a "C" flute because the tonic (Indian Sa) of the bansuri is the note sounded when 3 finger holes are closed. All six holes closed sounds a G, and the flute is in the G major scale when no half-holes or partial-holes are used.
