Seems last week's Hallowe'en blog about Robert Pattinson, Stephen Moyer, Brad Pitt and all those other sexy creatures of the night got your collective blood up, so after swift reflection (if not in mirrors) you bit back with the vampire movies that have possessed you including Salem's Lot, Dreyer's Vampyr, George Romero's Martin, and the much gorged on Near Dark, which, as I shall explain, changed my life. It's nice to know you all feel you have a stake in this blog and for that I'd like to fang you (That's enough bleeding vampires, Ed.)

  • Yeah the beard is workin for you Mark (assuming you watch these). Keep it for a while my good man.

  • Fair enough, but it is widely accepted that exposure to sunlight is fatal within the context of vampire mythology. It just seems to take all the pathos and meaning out of it if a guy can live forever without paying such a huge price as having to exist in the shadows

  • the curse of the werewolf is awesome (oliver reed)

  • @BRm2008 Shouldnt be on a vampires movie list.............its a vampire movie dude, its not Schindlers List or The Departed, it is in the Vampire realm of film. As for it being a horror i never said it was, its a love story with a vampire twist and just so you know i also hate soppy teen orientated movies, but Twilight captivated me for some reason, I mean its far FAR better than all 3 Transformers movies yet those films dont get half the bad coments as Twilight

  • @SamHain1031666 no it shouldnt even be on the list of vampires or horrors

  • @BRm2008 It really isnt, id place The Lost Boys at the top of the list closely followed by interview with a Vampire and Twilight is up there. Besides its corny love scenes its a very good vampire film, and im talking about all 3 movies, i love initial mystery around Edward, then Jacobs problems with the wolf pack in the sequel, then how the vampires and wolves team up in the 3rd. I think in 20 years from now the cynics will re watch it and realize it was very good

  • good joke.

  • twilight is boring

  • @SamHain1031666 No Twilight is bottom level. and a peice of shit

  • Once that whiny, snotty, sulky little turd bella gets out of her window seat (even as a teenager, who sulks for a fucking YEAR??) and the direction gets passed to David whatsisname it enters the genre properly in my view. Before that it's little more than a living example of why people under a certain age don't get to vote.

  • twilght fails because it ignores sex completely. Let the right one in was perfect because it dosen't ignore sex and understands its origins

  • 1) The Lost Boys

    2) Interview With The Vampire

    3) Fright Night

    4) Let The Right One In (remake was every bit as good)

    5) Twilight (fuck the haters, it was a good film)
