A live performance by The Clean of the song 'Diamond Shine" taken from the Vehicle LP.
This was filmed at the James Cabaret, Wellington in 1990 during a "Rock The Quota" gig to showcase some of New Zealand's top bands at the time, and also to help to promote a campaign to push a bill that would have added a 10% music quota on mainstream radio (which was ultimately rejected by the government of the time). As well as The Clean, The Bats & Tall Dwarfs were also representing the Flying Nun stable. Apologies for the out of sync audio.
Awesome vid. Goes to show the Clean's sound hadn't changed all that much, just the production on Vehicle made it sound different, great album, I always thought David sang this one.
