Thank you for that, the rougher the surface of the pan, the more gold it will catch. I use underwater sandpaper to treat the pan surface, how did you know?

Looks like a fabulous outing.!! when are you going again? Do you think you'll go in summer of 2011 ??? Some of our GPAA greenbush chapter members might be interested in joining you. I know I am interested. I've panned on the show of lake michigan and found gold.

I started prospecting about 1 year ago but had it on my mind alot longer , Im in Michigan and have plans for a trip 2 the UP this summer.I just joined the GPAA and know theres a chapter here but any info about a possible trip would be nice since im new 2 the club I could use as much info as possible . Im just dying 2 get some michigan gold.
