Only about 2,800 corpses are found inside Nanking castle (walled city of Nanking), and the rest are recovered outside, which were almost 40,000. There are few corpses of women and children.

@iganinja375 Basically, Korea tried not to let only one country get overdominate in the region. Because that can threat Korea. After Korea made deal with Japan, Japan became so powerful, so Korea called Russia to make Japan have fight against Russia so that Korea can balance foreign power in Korean pennisula. But Japan won over the Russia. Korea's big mistake is to dragg foreign power in Korea without any relationship like Korea - US today.

@iganinja375 No.. It's not that Japan could not leave Korea alone. Korean strategy was to balance power. Japan's power got increase since the trade with western started. Korea was weak by that time. So Korea let China to involve in Korea to get protect against Japan. Then China got too strong. So Korea started to call Japan to make Japan compete against China. Then Korea tried to make Russia involve in situation.
