He didn't mention CDMA for DOCSIS which gives 127 virtual channels for each physical channel. Each virtual channel has ~40mb of bandwidth, giving about 5gb/s of bandwidth per 6mhz channel.
This is why my neighbors and I can download 100+mb/s at the exact same time with only 4 channels. 4 channels should be only 160mb, yet we can pull down over 300mb/s sustained, while still maintaining 20ms pings to gaming servers in other states.
@AurigaUSAllc Great presentation. Please get a better mic and consider testing your levels before recording. The scratchiness of the highs is harsh on the ears and sounds like it's damaging my speakers.
at&t is going to stop rollout of U-Verse by the end of this year so don't expect it if you don't have it. Verizon is only deploying fios in its own territory where they see the ROI would be greatest. All new-built homes after 2008 should have a fiber link to the side of the home if you are an at&t or verizon customer. VDSL2 is the end of the line for at&t, don't expect them to upgrade everyone to FTTP anytime soon
im on uverse it has fiber to the prem now and currently im testing 50mbps to my pc u are a little behind verizon sux !!!! they have no infrastructure and wont make it to older homes that sounds like verizon is choosing its customers . uverse rocks ............................... no relation
Optimum has Docsis 3.0 You can get it if you already have Optimum Online pr Optimum Online Boost. Or you Can be a new suscriber. The speeds are 101mbits down and 15mbits up
