love this band alot wheatervanes is one of my fav albums but their knew stuff is missing the magic from waethervaens, weathervanes was so creative musicaly and whimsical and imaginative lyricaly and this is good but its cookie cutter indie music

I just adore everything about this wonderful band.. Their sound is so perfect to/for me, like everything I love incorporated into one little group. When people ask what kind of music I'm into, I say Freelance Whales cuz 1) they're a bitchin band and 2) they describe me in a strange and unusual way. I just listen to them and mellow out and sort of drift away. It's sort of magical...

@eskaflontae I have to say, from what I've heard, I'm liking Weathervanes. That airy sound just felt so special to them. Not the stuff I can listen to again and again like their Weathervanes.

@bobthecoolguy100 I think everyone's grievance, which mine as well, is that their stuff isn't very FUN to listen to. I mean Weathernaves was the best combination of whimsical quicks and wonderful lyrics. It was just fun to listen to! This stuff, although still good, doesn't have that same flare as Weathernaves did. They're reaching for a real atmospheric sound and I'm not sure I want to jump on board with it.
