Yeah, the 12 ga. Insert is. Just as long as you only run flares and non-lethal rounds through it. I wouldn't recommend firing and real rounds, cuz' it'll probably explode and kill you. As well as anyone standing next to you.

How much it cost for the hole set + the flare gun?

@ColdFearboy $50 gun, $17 scope ring, $30 22.cal insert, $15 12ga flare insert, $50 laser/light (you can buy just a laser or light for 1/2), $15 grip and $5 compass. Around $182, sounds like alot but I bought everything over a few months. That way it wasn't such a bit hit to my wallet at one time.

Have you shot a 12 guage non-lethal though it yet? Im just wondering on the recoil.

1. While a cheap shotgun is more effective, Its hard to carry around a full shotgun.

2. Flares can get stuck in full sized shotgun barrels and at the least ruin your finish, or the worst melt the barrel.

3. Who cares if its lame. When you shoot some thug in the face with a 12 guage pepper round, do you think he is going to be thinking how lame the flare gun is?

Are you not legally able to own a firearm because of felony conviction, or maybe domestic violence? I would just thing that if anything you could just get a cheap shotgun, then you wouldnt have to worry about scaring people away with pepper spray, because buckshot is much more effective+a 12 gauge shotgun will shoot flares :O also seems pretty lame to be open carrying a flare gun...

You do know kensaw has the 12 gauge adapters and they have the .22 barrels none if it is that rare they are both still made

I got one of these coming, I'm gonna chop the handle and weld a rail on top of it so I can mount it under a rifle.

Where'd you get those pepper rounds? I bet you could just cut down a 12g shell, empty some powder, then fill the cartridge with cayenne pepper, lol.

love the flaregun. I have one, similar. 26.5mm. I baught the 12ga flare insert. Then made a .410 insert for that. with winchester judge ammo. it punches.
