Meredith says there is a huge healthcare crisis in the state of Maine and nationwide. She remarks that there are many issues at-hand that needs to be changed; however, there needs to be good strategic thinking in this process. She wants her employees to have the choice on their health care. According to Meredith, the health care reform conversations among government is in a crazy environment right now, and the timing with this issue needs to happen in steps and integrate small businesses in some good conversation. She also discusses how Maine has tried many versions of a health care system.
