Furthermore, Doug's answer did not address or include, in any general sense, what happens to babies that die. In this video at about 1:23, Doug's implication is that without an actual affirmation of faith in Jesus Christ then no one can be saved. I once sat through a sermon denying that babies will go to heaven. So, this has spawned the doctrine of the age of accountability which is not in the Bible and sets forth two plans of salvation; one for babies and one for everyone else.

1:25:00 Doug believes that those who haven't heard the Gospel, but are seeking God, are candidates for God to bring the Gospel to them for salvation.
Thus, Doug assumes some innate goodness in fallen man which is based upon Common Grace. God will see their goodness and reward them with the Word preached.
But scripture teaches the sinner is of the flesh and at enmity with God until the Word first changes his heart. "No one seeks God." Rom 3:11, and "Nothing good lives in me." Rom 7:18.

00:36 You spelled Doug's last name incorrectly.
Hi Entropy56 -- this video is from the Veritas forum, and unfortunately, Denver Seminary cannot correct the spelling of Dr. Groothuis' last name in the video. Thank you for pointing it out, however. I wish we could change it.
