This models and animation where taken from original Project DIVA game and rendered using XNA framework.

-Augmented Reality implemented using Goblin XNA framework
-Video overlay added for audio and animation reference.

This is my spare time project. I am doing that for education purposes. So work in progress.

  • CAN YOU MAKE THIS INTO AN I PHONE APP!!!

  • @xifuckinghateyoux I can. But Apple will never approve it due to copyrights and e.t.c. I took model and animation from original PSP game.

  • What type of 3D model did u use? FBX?

  • @buskone Not exactly .fbx. 3D model and animation are imported from Project DIVA psp game using custom content pipeline importer.

  • That looks amazing. I know that's not a hologram, but do you have to use special cameras/motion trackers/sensors/special eyewear to see that?

  • @PurinxPop This is custom-made app for regular webcam, it track those markers on iPad and calculates camera position. Then it render 3D model overlay.

  • Please put up a tutorial on this. :)

  • @pccontroller

Ohhh... thanks for the info though, i couldnt find a good

description of what this is, so thank you

  • @cmayerik sorry, but this IS possible.

When he started to zoom in and out his fingers were close to and touching the iPad.

you cannot project images out of an iPad, but you CAN make it look like it with ARtoolkit.

When you use ARtoolkit, the markers you print out on paper essentially work the same as if you leave it as a display on an iPad. if you look at the iPad in real life, the PDF with all of the markers would be all you saw. However, if you viewed it through a computer, you'd see Miku too.

  • Its using augmented reality. Google it

  • Sorry, but this is impossible.

When he started to zoom in and out his fingers were not even

close to the I pad. You can not project images out of an i pad.

you can kinda do it with art tool kit, but not this

  • @bookazoid you have NO idea how bad i want this for my iphone D: apple sucks!

  • Do you mind sharing the sources or the project is closed source?

Because I'm doing things like this with ARToolkit, but I've just started to develop with XNA, so I'd really like to take a look at the sources!

I didn't even know that XNA could do such things!

If you want to contact me you can email me at zer0.byt3.mail(at)gmail.com

    Thank you very much ^_^
