This is a collage of different promotional videos and live performances by Thin Lizzy that were edited to look like a full-length video for their song, "The Rocker". This was an art project I did in school a number of years ago. The cheesy transitions were intentional to represent the limitations of video editing and the style of the 1970's.

THANK YOU. What a Great piece of art. wonderful t to hear the full length version. I can't understand why the powers that be keep releasing the edited version of this song on compilation albums? Surely this guitar solo by ERIC BELL is one of rock's finest momrnts.

Bell's guitar solo makes the song for me. As much as I love Lizzy, the edited song without the solo is fairly unexceptional. Yeah, I said it!

This is 100% Eric Bell's solo -- although I'm sure all the other guitarists played this song live at some point in their Lizzy careers.

I love Eric and was lucky enough to meet him on a charity tour years ago with Noel Redding and John Coughlan. Tremendous solo here - BUT - why do I not hear more comments about how absolutely fucking brilliant a drummer BRIAN DOWNEY is?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? One of THE BEST rock drummer of all time.

I'm not an Eric Bell fan. Blackmore, Lifeson, Barre and Emmanuel are among my biggest guitar heroes and still provides me with many wonderful guitar moments.

But here - in this original version - Eric Bell had a very divine moment. The way he plays The Rocker here is for me the ultimate guitar moment. The riffs and solo and the song as a whole is pure magic. I felt it that way when I bought the record in the 70's, and I still feel it today.
