Instead of worrying about the lawsuit WHY aren't they investigating WHY this women was held along side of the road for 5 to 6 hours, refused medical help, abused at the jail, had her family threatened, her property stolen (thanks to the police), ETC etc

and then charged as a TERRORIST, when obviously she was NOT?????

Want to mitigate part of this 70 million, they probably could by yanking this cops certification & showing the victim that they will NOT TOLERATE this abuse by their police force.

@M0rmagil <-- Did you understand the last 34 seconds of the video? a 4 month late motions/excuse wont fly unless they can "bribe" the judge to extend, in which case, the plaintiff can add the judge as a defendant to the case as a conspirator attempting to deny her justice in a court of law, without just cause. Funny when people thing because they're on the other side they can't lose. Loved this video.

No, she didn't win $70 mil by default.

The town attorney who was put on the case didn't file a response in time because he had "personal issues" (i.e. he was an incompetent moron).

The failure to respond could have been used by the judge to make a summary ruling in favor of Ms Genovese for the $70 million dollars, but he accepted the excuse and has given the town another chance to respond. A new attorney has been hired to defend the town against the suit.

Wow their mistake is not having the town attorney at EVERY council meeting!
