He use to play live shows for James Brown way way back with two of his friends when he was younger. Bootsy said James used to act like he was their father. He was always scolding them for their behavior especially off stage no doubt picking up women, drinkin, and smokin. Bootsy said he was such a hyprocrite. Brown was doing the same thang FULL SCALE and Boosty and them were just kids having fun. Bootsy got tired of his fatherly self-righteous act and left the band. So the story goes.
