@jayd4ever - you talking foolishness.... as I said - no doubt he had love for Oakland... but his first name was MC New York for a reason. Deal with it. Prior to him being shot he was ALWAYS out here hanging out in every borough - even when he wasn't doing movies. NY always had love for Pac... ppl just didn't like he let Suge brainwash him. Slick Rick wasn't no gangster - but when the Jamaicans in the Bronx (his own relatives) were extorting him - he handled his without help or publicity.

The song was originally by Grandmaster Flash - stating NY was the place that every wants to make it ("if you make it there you can make it anywhere")... but there is a dark underside.
